Arunah Hill Days 2002

Once again another Arunah Hill Days has come and gone. This year we were blessed with fantastic weather while setting up for the event on Wednesday and Thursday night. On Friday evening, the first night of Arunah Hill Days the sky turned out to be an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10! Absolutely fantastic!

If you missed this year's event please take a look at the pictures and read the wonderful commentary from some of the people who were lucky enough to be in attendance this year. Saturday night offered spotty viewing, the highlight on that evening ended up being the campfire musical interlude by Joe Zuraw on keyboard, Bruce Blanchard on guitar and Dan McShane playing violin. A fun time was had by all...

Just wanted to tell you how much we appreciated all the planing and work you and your club did to make the weekend a success. We enjoyed it very much, especially Friday nite. What spectacular viewing. And the camping was fun, and we even went for a swim on Sat afternoon. Youve got a great place there, and a wonderful concept, and we will come again next year. PS. Our friends won a door prize, the beginners star book, and have been jump started into astronomy. - Cal & Becky Farrand

Thanks for pulling this off. I know how much work and hassle goes in to one of these events. I think this was just the best AH Days ever. I loved Man Conquers Space. Dent and the guy from Worchester were good speakers. It was such a pleasure being at the controls of the Gaertner again, and getting to look at M-17 in the new club 24". That turned out to be quite an instrument. Makes me wonder why I don't make it up to the hill more often. - Ed Faits

I had such a wonderful time at the Arunah Hill Days 2002. The setting is spectacular and the people in attendance were friendly and helpful. Thank you. - Francis Bailey

We had a great time. I hope you will let us come again. It is such a marvelous opportunity for the kids to look through other scopes and to be under the stars for the night. I will talk to you sometime in the spring. If you are ever in the Concord, NH area please drop in at the school. - Tom McCarthy
